I was just thumbing through this months issue of Madison and found an article declaring craft is cool! Well, we already knew that. Australian Kelly Doust has written a book called The Crafty Minx. It contains over 75 handmade and recycled projects! Madison's article shares a few how tos with us. As christmas quickly approaches I get a little nostalgic. One thing I really miss about home is the distinct changing of the seasons. I miss the autumn leaves and their vibrant colors. The rugging up as the weather gets chilly. Then the festive shop windows, hot chocolate by the fire, the ice skating..... I could go on. Here I am getting organized for the Christmas season and it's 30 degrees! Something I am very grateful for in January of course.
The jacarandas are in full bloom at the moment. A sure sign of summer around here and that Christmas is around the corner. The ground is covered in a blanket of what looks like purple snow. Well, it’s the closest this Canadian is going to get.
