My children have discovered pumpkin pie. I have discovered that being 85% health food (not an official stat, just my opinion) it's the perfect dinner! It's like a spinach milkshake decanted into a MacDonald's cup... or something. The following is a recipe for a whinge free dinner.
Pastry

Filling
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbl cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
Pre heat oven to 425 degrees (210) Line pie plate with crust. Chill the crust in the fridge while you make the filling. Combine all the ingredients together using a beater. Pour the mixture into the pastry and bake for 40 minutes. You want the pie to be firm to the touch but not too brown.
I have baked just the filling in individual ramekins for the gluten free pie lovers in the family. They come out like little pumpkin pie souffle's! You will need to adjust the time though.
So do yourself a favour and make pie for dinner. While you're at it, get dessert done as well and put a scoop of ice cream on top. It will blow your kids minds.

Good post. I learn something tougher on different blogs everyday. It is going to at all times be stimulating to learn content from other writers and practice a bit something from their store. I’m impressed, I must say. Really not often do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is excellent; the issue is one thing that not sufficient people are speaking intelligently about. I'm very completely satisfied that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing referring to this.
