There I was a few months back talking about the wonderful committed and weekly craft group I am apart of (the wonderful part is very true) and I think Thursday night was my first appearance since. Shameful. A new year has begun and the creative juices are flowing once again.
Lisa was our host last night. I should have given you a photographic tour of her home. Everywhere you look there are vintage treasures and fantastic pieces of art hung on every square inch of every single wall. I am going to hunt down the name of the artist that is local and hanging in her foyer. I must have one of his pieces!
On the menu for sweets, marscapone and date slice found on Taste.com.au
Lisa is making a few things from this great book Simple sewing for baby
kie made this beautiful silk headband and wore it home. Don't you just love it when a project comes together in an evening?
Michelle is making a "poof' (pillow-like ottoman) You can find the pattern here. I am very impressed that furniture is now being made at craft.
I am working on a couple of nappy/wipes holders for a few ladies who have just had babies. Will post my how-to at a later date.
I misplaced my original pattern I had made for these so I knocked one up last night. I of course forgot about the seam allowance. It is now too small for the wipes and nappies but I am sure I will find another use for this little fabric pocket. Perhaps I could keep my wallet and phone in it for quick retrieval from my rather enormous handbag.

Lurve the last two installments Robin.
